Electricity usage from Toronto Hydro smart meters

The new smart meters installed by Toronto Hydro are collecting electricity consumption data at hourly intervals. We would like this data so that we can search for patterns in household power use; as a first step, anonymized data with geographic information removed would be useful and pose no privacy risk.

    Or perhaps aggregated by neighbourhood in some way.

    Even better would be for this to be released for all businesses and public entities...this would allow for consumers to make purchasing decisions based on how efficient a business is.

    Toronto Hydro should either publicly release this information, or if there are privacy issues, have an opt in option for businesses that want to share this information.

    Same goes for water, gas and garbage.
